Valais is s paradise for bike racers and road bikers and in September 2020 the UCI Road World Championship will take place here. From the Rhone Valley, through vineyards, picturesque villages and apricot orchards, up through the gorgeous alpine passes. With a surrounding of 27 mountain peaks of above 4000 metres Valais has many compelling and alluring climbs of varying difficulty levels. Hotel de la Poste is conveniently located on many of these classic routes and some of the legendary mountain passes are within reach by a days tour. Cyclists coming from Aproz, down in the valley will pass right by the hotel before the final climb to the top of Croix de Coeur. 

Christian Paul is a qualified Swiss cycling guide with twenty years of cycling experience on the roads of Valais. Apart from being a cyclist and mountain enthusiast he is a former chef from well known Guide Michelin restaurants – so he knows where to find you a good meal on the road.
